Dr Kerry Vlahos

Kerry joined Crafter Health as a practice principal in 2000. He has broad experience in all aspects of general practice with a particular interest in Musculo-skeletal medicine, skin cancer surgery, preventative medicine and aged care.

Dr Johanna Kilmartin

BMBS, FRACGP, DFFP(RCOG), MClinEd

Johanna enjoys mentoring of medical students and registrars. She is the principal GP supervisor for medical students and registrar training. Johanna has special interests in clinical education, paediatrics, general medicine and palliative care. Johanna offers Implanon insertion and minor surgical procedures including skin lesion removal.

Sam joined Crafter Health in 2005 and is passionate about all aspects of general practice. Sam enjoys mentoring and training medical students and has special interests in skin lesion removal, paediatric, aged and palliative care.

Wendy enjoys a practice which spans the entire range of general practice, offering antenatal shared care, women’s health including Implanon insertion, preventative and palliative care.

Dr Matt Del Fante

MBBS, FRACGP, DCH, Cert Skin Cancer Med & Surg, Cert Dermoscopy

Matt joined Crafter Health in 2016. He enjoys all aspects of family general practice, with a special interest in paediatrics and skin cancer medicine. He offers comprehensive skin checks and is experienced with a wide range of minor surgical procedures. Outside of medicine, Matt enjoys spending time with his young family, aviation and outdoor pursuits.

Dr Geoff Stranks

MBBS, Dip Obs, RACOG, FRACGP, MACRRM, Cert Skin Cancer Surg

Geoff has worked at Crafter Health for more than 40 years. During that time he has also worked in the Department of General Practice at Flinders University, as a Senior Visiting Medical Officer in Accident and Emergency at Flinders Medical Centre and undertaken rural locums. He has a long term interest in medical education and remains interested in all aspects of general practice. Geoff holds a Certificate in Skin Cancer Surgery.

Dr Vanessa Hughes

MBBS, FRACGP, DCH

Vanessa returned to Crafter Health in October 2016 after training here as a registrar and gaining her fellowship. She is interested in all aspects of general practice, especially women’s health, antenatal/postnatal care and preventative health checks. She is accredited for Implanon insertion and removal and currently holds a teaching position at the Medical School. Outside of work she enjoys cycling and travel.
Dr Hughes is currently not taking new patients.

Dr Nicholas Tarca

BMedSci, BSci (Hons), MD, FRACGP

Nick has a keen interest in sports and musculoskeletal medicine, non-surgical arthritis management and paediatric/family healthcare. He offers sports injury management from child/adolescent through to the weekend warrior. His sporting interests include lacrosse, cricket and AFL. Outside of medicine he enjoys time with his young family and cooking.

Dr Alison Edgecomb

MBBS, FRACGP

Alison joined Crafter Health in 2020. She enjoys all aspects of family general practice, with a special interest in paediatrics, adolescent, women’s health and preventative care. She has a particular interest in the care of families and infants and is an accredited practitioner in Neuroprotective Developmental Care (‘the Possums programs’). She is able to provide long consults for support with breastfeeding, sleep and settling. Alison is also accredited for antenatal shared care. Alison is also accredited for Implanon insertion and removal. Outside of medicine, Alison enjoys spending time with her family.

Dr Rashmi Sinhal

MBBS, FRACGP

Rashmi was awarded her MBBS in 1999 and has gained extensive medical experience by working in various hospitals including Flinders Medical Centre and Ashford Hospital. She then went on to achieve fellowship in general practice. She is passionate about all aspects of family General Practice and has special interests in management of chronic diseases like asthma, heart disease, diabetes and osteoarthritis. She enjoys teaching medical students.

Sonia commenced at Crafter Health in January 2021. She is a General Practitioner with an interest in Women’s Health and Paediatrics.

Dr Charles Du

MBBS

Charlie graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2017 and worked at the RAH and QEH before joining Crafter Health. He is interested in all areas of General Practice. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending times with friends and family.

Dr Chris Lee

MBBS, FRACGP

Chris graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2017 and worked at the Lyell McEwin Hospital before joining Crafter Health for twelve months as a GP Registrar in 2020. Once Chris completed his GP Training he returned to work at Crafter Health in 2022. He is interested in all areas of General Practice. Outside of Medicine, he enjoys watching movies and soccer.

Dr David Brown

MBBS, FRACGP, BA (Phil.)

David graduated from the University of Western Australia in Medicine in 1986. He settled in the Adelaide Hills as a GP practice partner for over a decade before recently working as a rural locum doctor around Australia. He joined Crafter as an Independent Medical practitioner in 2023 and works part-time on on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
He is experienced in all areas of medicine and enjoys educating patients about their health issues.
At home he relaxes with gardening, exercise and reading about history and philosophy.

Dr Kara Johns

BSci (Hons), MD, PhD, DRANZCOG

Kara joins us as a GP Registrar in 2023 where she will be completing her General Practice Specialty training. Kara has a particular interest in women’s health but also enjoys paediatrics, skin care, geriatrics, and palliative care. She completed a Diploma in women’s health and works with women of all ages. Kara inserts/removes IUD and Implanon.

Dr Tom Suszko

MBBS, FRACGP

Tom Suszko is a family general practitioner with interests in Sports Medicine, Travel Medicine, Skin Cancer Medicine and Minor Surgical Procedures.
He graduated from Monash University Medical School in Melbourne and has been in General Practice for 30 years.
In 1986 he joined the country Medical Practice in Bright, Victoria where he consulted for 10 years. During this period he acted as medical director and established the Mount Buffalo ski injury clinic.
Tom currently practices at Crafter Health as a Family doctor. His practice covers all aspects of Family Medicine.
Outside of medicine, Tom has been involved in mountain rescue and ski patrolling. He is also a member of the Grange surf lifesaving club.

Dr Ai-Lene Chan

MBBS, FRACGP, MPHTM, DCH

Ai-Lene Chan has been a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners since 2010. With extensive experience working in rural Australia, including Christmas Island, Stradbroke Island, East Arnhem Land, and The Cocos-Keeling Islands, she returned to Adelaide in 2021.
Ai-Lene is an advocate for equitable healthcare and has held positions on the RACGP Refugee health specific interests group, with World Wellness Group and as senior medical officer for Wheels of Wellness. She co-authored the RACGP White Book “Working with migrant and refugee communities.” Ai-Lene has been a medical educator for Phase, Nepal and Australian Doctors for Africa in Somaliland.
She has a passion for paediatrics, women’s health, preventative care and working with culturally and linguistically diverse people. When away from the office, Ai-Lene, her partner and daughter enjoy beachcombing for crabs, bushwalking and reef swims.

Dr David Tong

BMBS BPHARM

David enjoys the entire scope of general practice. He provides a kind, caring, attentive and comprehensive approach to all health concerns. His areas of interest include but are not limited to chronic disease, preventative health, men’s health, paediatrics and wellbeing.

David previously worked for six years as a doctor across most South Australian hospitals and gained contemporary experience across a diverse range of areas including cardiology, respiratory, general medicine, general surgery, orthopaedics, rehabilitation, pain medicine, palliative care, emergency medicine and paediatrics. Before his medical career, he also completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy and was a local community pharmacist for three years.

Outside of general practice, David cherishes quality time with his family.
